The Latin Language Certificate is an opportunity to improve language skills in the field of classical languages and an incentive to promote certification routes for the skills acquired, with positive implications also in terms of educational credits that can be recognised both at school and at university.
In 2015, the Provincial Council of the Autonomous Province of Trento signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Consulta Universitaria di Studi Latini (C.U.S.L.) in order to promote Latin language certification in the Province of Trento and to enhance the value of the ancient classical languages in high school curricula and in the Province in general.
There are three levels of certification:
- Level A (basic)
- Level B1 (advanced)
- Level B2 (Advanced)
In principle, the levels are intended for students in the first two years (level A) and for more advanced students in the second two years and in the fifth year (levels B1/B2). However, the exam can be taken at any level. It is only possible to take the exam for one level in one session. The exam is administered online.
